Would you like to experiment with a design like this? You'll find a supply list below, including a link to the stencil I used from A Colorful Life Designs. Let’s get Started:
Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25
Card Face: 5.25 x 4
Card Face:
I laid the card face on the Grip Mat, positioned the stencil and applied reddish-brown ink over the exposed areas with a light hand.
I moved the stencil very slightly down and to the left, and again used the same ink over all exposed areas but this time with a heavy hand.
This created the look of a shadow and added a lot of depth to the image.
I put the card face into the stamp positioner and added both the man and the sentiment, stamping a couple of times to get a crisp, dark image.
I added clear embossing powder to both and set the powder with my heat gun.
Other:
I used a punch to cut a notch out of each corner of the card face.
I added dimensional foam to the back.
Assembly
I put the card face in place on the card base.
I added three small diamond-shaped embellishments to the card face.
Final Thoughts:
I love this guy and his quizical - or in this case, critical - expression.
