Would you like to experiment with a design like this? You'll find a supply list below, including a link to the stencil I used from A Colorful Life Designs. Follow the link and use discount code ChrisFan10 to save 10% on your entire order! (Master Creator Bundles are excluded as they already have a 20% discount built in.)

Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25

Card Face: 5.5 x 4.25

Card Face:

  • I positioned the card face on the Grip Mat and added the stencil. I applied school bus yellow ink across the exposed surface. I wiped down the surface before moving on.

  • I rotated the stencil 90 degrees and applied blue ink, Again, I wiped down the stencil.

  • After turning the stencil another 90 degrees, I applied pink ink and then wiped the stencil down.

  • I turned the stencil a final 90 degrees and pressed my Versamark embossing ink pad firmly against the openings on the stencil (I repeated this a couple of times to be certain that I hadn’t missed any areas).

  • I sprinkled gold embossing powder on the card face, and set it with my heat gun.

Other:

  • I die cut the YOU out of white cardstock, and the shadow out of gold cardstock.

  • I used a scrap of cardstock to stamp the sentiment with Versamark embossing ink: I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and set it with my heat gun.

Assembly

  • I glued the card face to the card base.

  • I glued the white YOU to the gold shadow, and then glued both in place on the card front as shown.

  • I added the rest of the sentiment over the YOU, on the right hand side.

Final Thoughts:

I almost added additional bling to this card, but decided against it in the end. There is enough glimmer from the gold embossing, and I feel that the card doesn’t need anything extra.
