TUTORIALCHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY SEASON

Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 5.5

Border Layer: 5.5 x 4 Focal

Image: 4 x 4, before cutting

Focal Image:

  • I dusted the cardstock with anti-static powder.

  • I placed the cardstock in the stamping platform and stamped the image a couple of times with embossing ink to ensure good coverage.

  • I added silver embossing powder and set this with my heat gun.

  • I used the matching die to cut this out.

Other:

  • Using embossing ink, I stamped additional snowflakes randomly on the border layer, added silver embossing powder and used my heat gun to set them.

  • I looked in my binder and found the perfect sentiment.

Assembly

I glued the border layer to the card base, centering vertically.

I added the die-cut snowflake, positioning to extend a bit off the upper right-hand corner. I trimmed off the excess.

I added the sentiment on an angle, as shown.

I added an unexpected pop of colour by using small red gems in the center of each snowflake.

Final Thoughts:

The border layer is a gel print that I had created previously and put aside until I decided what I wanted to do with it.

I really like the red gems: they are a fun addition to this card.
