Such a simple design, but so effective. I love it when one of those finds me when I'm working. Serendipity!
Let’s Get Started:
Card Base: 4.25 x 11, scored and folded at 5.5
Border: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
Card Face: 4 x 5.25
Red Glitter Cardstock: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
Card Face:
I secured the stencil to the card face with Mint Tape, grabbed a couple of blue inks and set to work.
I used a very soft blue-grey ink for my first layer, with a very light hand to go over the snowflakes.
I came back in with a mediium blue ink and a bit more pressure, adding ink only to the center of each snowflake with a small detail brush.
I used a snowflake die that cut a negative impression into the center of the card face.
Assembly:
I glued the glitter card stock to the card base, and the card face on top of that.
I added a red gem to the center of the large snowflake, and a tiny red gem to the center of the 6 snowflakes that surrounded it.
Final thoughts:
I am really happy with this card, I love both the design and the non-traditional colours.
