Would you like to experiment with a design like this? You'll find a supply list below, including a link to the stencil I used from A Colorful Life Designs. Let’s get Started:

Card Base 4.25 x 11, scored and folded at 5.5

Blue Layer: 4.258 x 5.5:

Card Face: started as 4 x 5.25 (before die cutting

Card Face:

  • I put the card face into the stamp positioner and stamped the image a couple of times with Memento Ink.

  • I coloured the image with alcohol markers

  • I put the card face back into the stamp positioner and added the sentiment using Versafine Onyx.

  • I laid the image on the Grip Mat and added the stencil to the background, allowing the ink to fade as it approached the image.

  • I used a large oval die to cut the card face down to the finished size.

  • I ran the edges of this oval over the black ink pad, creating a very fine black line around the entire edge.

Other

Using the same die I cut a second oval out of black cardstock.

I inserted the blue layer into an embossing folder and ran it through my big shot.

Using small photo corner dies, I cut four out of black cardstock.

Assembly

  • I glued the two ovals together, offsetting as shown in the picture.

  • I glued the blue layer to the card base, and then glued the black photo corners in place.

  • I glued the two ovals in place on the blue layer.

Final Thoughts:

I love this image from Unity Stamps, and I’m really happy with the way this card turned out.
