Let’s Get Started:
Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25
Card Face:5 x 3.75
Small Scrap of Cardstock for Sentiment
Card Face:
I secured Bubbly Waves to the card face with Mint Tape, grabbed a blending brush and began applying a turquoise ink, allowing it to build up more towards the bottom, and get a little lighter towards the top.
Without removing that stencil, I secured another directly on top. This one was a retired stencil from Stampin' Up! that creates the look of seaweed hanging down from the surface of the water.
I removed both stencils, put the card face into my stamp positioner, and added the two fish with black pigment ink (The positioner ensures that the placement is correct, and that I get good coverage with the ink.) I removed the card face, quickly applied clear embossing powder and heat set it. This treatment of the fish made them stand out even more against the bright blue background.
Other:
I stamped the sentiment with black pigment ink and again used clear embossing powder , heat setting to ensure enough presence on the card.
Assembly:
I glued the card face to the card base. The addition of dimensional foam tape on the back of the sentiment meant that it had a bit of added pop on the card.
I added a few clear beads to represent bubbles in the water.
Final thoughts:
I love the combination of that stencil with the little fishes.
