Let’s Get Started:
Card Base: 4.25 x 11, scored and folded at 5.5
Red Border: 4 x 1.75
Sentiment Layer 4 x 1.5
Card Face: 4 x 5.5
Small Scrap of cardstock for wreath
Card Face:
I secured the stencil to the card face with Mint Tape and used a blending brush to apply a bright red ink across the entire surface.
Other:
I had already stamped, coloured and die-cut the wreath: it was waiting for me in my Ready to Go Binder. ***
I put the sentiment layer into my stamp positioner and stamped the “J” and “Y” at either end, Stamping repeatedly until the letters were saturated enough.
Assembly:
I glued the card face to the card base, centering vertically.
I glued the red border layer horizontally across the card face, about 60% of the way down the cardstock.
I glued the sentiment layer onto the red border, centering horizontally.
I added the wreath between the other two letters.
I found a small heart in my Ready to Go binder which had been cut out of red glitter cardstock. I glued this in the center of the wreath.
I added small red gems to the “J” and “Y” as shown.
*** For more information on the Ready To Go binder, and how it increases my efficiency see this topic under the Techniques drop-down in the header.
Final thoughts:
I love the crisp look of the red stencil against the stark white.
