This card was created for a challenge over at 613 Avenue Create. This month's challenge is For the Guys, but Anything Goes is also always an option. Hop on over and check out the awesome entries - and while you’re there, feel free to share a card and grow the creativity!

Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25

Card Face: 5 x 3.75

Scraps of both gold and white cardstock

Card Face:

This background was created months ago - it was one of those “I like it, but how do use it?” situations. It was created by using duo gel through a stencil, and then adding gold foil. (see Foiling without Heat under Techniques in the header for information on this technique.)

  • I trimmed the card base down to size.

  • I die cut “coffee” 6 times: three with gold foil, and three with a heavy weight scrap white cardstock

  • I glued each of the gold die cuts onto one of the white ones.

.

Other:

  • I looked in my Ready to Go binder* and found the little banner that features coffee pots and mugs.

See Ready to Go Binder under techniques in the header.

Assembly

  • I centered the card face on the card base and glued it down.

  • I added each of the die cuts to the card face as shown.

Final Thoughts:

This card definitely has a masculine vibe, and can be used for any occasion. I love having a few cards like this in my stash - they can save the day!
