Let’s get Started:
Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25
Border Layer: 5.25 x 4
Card Face: 5 x 3.75
Metallic Gold Card Stock for die-cutting
Card Face:
After laying the card face on the Grip Mat, I positioned the first layer of the coffee cup stencil.
I used light pink ink and a soft hand across the exposed surface.
I switched stencils and put the second layer in place. I went over the exposed area with the same ink and put a little more pressure on it than the first time.
I switched stencils again, this time putting the sentiment stencil in place in the upper left.
I used cranberry ink and a firm hand to create the sentiment.
I used brown ink and a coffee ring/splatter stamp randomly across the card face.
I used a deckled circle die to create a circle around the sentiment, drawing the eye in.
Other:
I die-cut the cup and steam from gold card stock.
I used a corner chomper to create the shapes on both the border layer and the card face.
Assembly
I glued the border layer to the card base, and the card face on top of these, centering on all four sides.
I carefully glued the sentiment into the correct spot, lining it up with the images stencilled on the card face.
I glued the cup and the steam in place.
I added three bits of bling to the card face as a finishing touch.
Final Thoughts:
I love to slow down during the hectic Christmas season and watch a movie, whether it’s one of the classics or something from the Hallmark channel. And a cup of coffee (or tea) is almost always sitting beside me.
