Let’s get Started:
Cream Card Base: 4.25 x 11, scored and folded at 5.5
Cream Card Face: 4 x 5.5
Card Face:
I laid the card face onto my Grip Mat, positioned the first stencil and used medium brown ink to create a soft image.
I allowed the ink to fade in certain areas, and built up the intensity in others, to create contrast and shading for this image.
After the ink was completely dry I dusted the surface liberally with anti-static powder.
I removed this stencil and placed the second one, positioning it on the brim of the hat.
I pressed versamark ink through the stencil, using firm pressure to ensure good coverage.
After removing the stencil I added gold embossing powder and set it with my heat gun.
I used an embossing pen to coat the lips with embossing ink, added gold embossing powder and again set it with my heat gun.
I put the card face into my stamp positioner and added the sentiment with brown ink, stamping twice to make the sentiment stand out against the background.
Assembly:
I glued the card face to the card base, aligning to the left-hand side.
I created a gold line beside the right-hand edge, using a gold gel pen.
Final Thoughts:
I love this stencil so much, and I was so happy with this image when I created it using cream and brown…. It had a soft elegance that I loved. And then I put it aside because I just couldn’t decide how to finish it.
I eventually found this sentiment and decided how to finish it off.
