a good heart, but.....
A good heart, but ..... oh dear!!! We've probably all had a moment when we wished we could un-say something.. A handmade card that takes a light hearted jab at the situation can help to smooth it over!

card base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25
card face: 5.25 x 4
focal image of your choice (this great chick from Hey Chicks (Stampin' Up!) is sadly retired)
Card Face:
I used two stencils from A Colorful Life Design , starting each towards an edge and fading as I approached the middle. I also deliberately chose two colours that would mix to create a third.
Once the ink was dry, I prepped the entire surface with an anti static embossing buddy and then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in black. I decided to run the sentiment up the left hand side as a fun, unexpected detail on the card.
Assembly:
I put a piece of adhesive foam on the back of the card face, removed the release paper and centered it on the card base.
The die cut chick (which had been stamped with Memento ink and then coloured with alcohol markers ) was put in place with a piece of foam tape on the back to make it stand out from the background.
And just that fast, the card was done!
Final Thoughts: I really like this playful background behind the chick; it suits her well. The sentiment gets a bit lost in the blue ink. I would still run it vertically but I would put it on the right hand side in the lighter ink.
