    Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 5.25 x 10.5, scored and folded at 5.25

    Green Border Layer: 5 x 5

    Red Border Layer: 4 5/8 x 4 5/8

    Card Face:  4.5 x 4.5

    Card Face:

    • I put the card face in my stamp positioner and stamped one of the gnomes using Memento black ink,
    •  I stamped the image again on masking paper and cut carefully around the edges.
    • Covering my first image with the cut-out, I repositioned the stamp and stamped again.  After removing the mask, I had the two gnomes,  one behind the other. I coloured these with alcohol markers.
    • I laid the card face on my grip mat and positioned the stencil.
    • I applied blue ink over the exposed areas, carefully avoiding the coloured images. I added pink towards the top around the edges,  and blended to create purple where the two colours met.
    • I put the card face back into the stamp positioner and added the tree with green ink.
    • I diluted white acrylic paint with water and added spatter to the card face, creating falling snow.

    Other:

    • I put the green border layer into an embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot to add depth and texture.
    • I used a scrap of white cardstock for the red sentiment:  I cut this out with an oval punch,  and used a slightly larger oval to create a border layer for it.

    Assembly

    • I glued the green border layer to the card base, and the card face to the red border layer.  I then glued these two together, having centered all layers on all sides.
    • I glued the two ovals together,  and then added them to the upper right corner of the card face.
    • I added a clear acrylic star to the top of the tree.

    Final Thoughts:

I wasn’t certain about this combination when I started,  but I love the fun, whimsical result.
